Today, I had the pleasure of spending my day with this lil guy.
9:30am - Big Daddy drops him off
10-10:45am - Baby D is down for his AM nap
10:45 - 11:30am - Lunchies and watching Mickey’s Clubhouse. On the show, Mickey engages his audience by using puzzles and tools by calling out, “Oh, Toodles!”, which I am happy to participate for a chance to hear Darien’s laugh. He is just as amused when I yell out, “Ar-tur-o”, since that’s what I hear with my diminished auditory skills.
11:30 - 1pm - I try to straighten my hair while he stares at me with need, demanding full attention. How do you say no to that face? We sit and watch Star Trek together. His mom isn’t too pleased with the exposure, but I can only hope my future lil ones will share in my fictional interests of the scientific nature.
1:00 - 2pm - Snack time. More Mickey’s clubhouse and playing with his pop-up book. Darien loves his peek-a-boo play book =D
2:00 - 2:45pm - Afternoon stroll and Darien’s PM nap. He’s out like a light. The kid is livin’ the life!
2:45 - 3:30pm - Walk around the house and watched Darien amuse himself by going in and out of the doorway of our outdoor foyer. I always appreciate people who are easily amused =)
Big daddy picked him up shortly and I immediately think once he’s out of sensor range, “I miss him already.” I always appreciate my time with the lil dude.
God willing, I’m looking forward to meeting my own lil ones in the future =)
